- Kingsport/Bristol/Johnson City, Tennessee
Satellite Technician/Installer Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair all causes of system failure
- Comply with safety procedures and requirements which include working and driving in a safe manner as outlined in our Safety Plan
- Communicate with customers in a clear and straightforward manner while providing excellent customer service which meets our targeted standards in regards to Quality Assurance scores, Customer Satisfaction scores, Completion Rates, Trouble Call Rates, and Productivity
- Use basic knowledge of mathematics as it relates to wiring and electronics
- Complete all technician paperwork in a timely fashion with proper notations
- Maintain fleet vehicle making sure it is clean, stocked, set up and used properly according to our Fleet Policy
- Continue your education and maintain certifications by participating in ongoing company-sponsored training programs necessary to stay current with today’s changing satellite environment
- Execute all installation procedures taught during new hire training and up training in order to produce the high quality level of work expected by the cutomer
- Work full time hours including weekends, holidays and overtime as required
Satellite Technician/Installer Requirements;
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Six months of Technician and customer service experience preferred
- Must achieve and maintain all technical certifications
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- Must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a DMV records check if driving a company vehicle
- Must be able to pass a drug screen test before employment, any time employee is involved in an injury/accident or any other time during employment
- Required to work both inside and outside of homes, office buildings and warehouse
- Must be able to travel and work in inclement conditions
- Lift and carry loads up to 70 lbs. or more
- Must be able to kneel or crouch for extended periods of time
- Work while standing up 75-90% of the time
- Climb ladders 12 to 40 feet above the ground as determined by system requirements
- Work in crawl spaces and attics
- Drive a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
- Perform installs and repairs in a safe manner according to our safety plan
- Ability to manipulate objects and use hand or power tools
- Must be able to hear, see and read to effectively perform job functions
- Ability to effectively use power tools, hand tools, and all installation tools
