Satellite Technician/Installer Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair all causes of system failure
• Comply with safety procedures and requirements which include working and driving in a safe manner as outlined in our Safety Plan
• Communicate with customers in a clear and straightforward manner while providing excellent customer service which meets our targeted standards in regards to Quality Assurance scores, Customer Satisfaction scores, Completion Rates, Trouble Call Rates, and Productivity
• Use basic knowledge of mathematics as it relates to wiring and electronics
• Complete all technician paperwork in a timely fashion with proper notations
• Maintain fleet vehicle making sure it is clean, stocked, set up and used properly according to our Fleet Policy
• Continue your education and maintain certifications by participating in ongoing company-sponsored training programs necessary to stay current with today’s changing satellite environment
• Execute all installation procedures taught during new hire training and up training in order to produce the high quality level of work expected by the cutomer
• Work full time hours including weekends, holidays and overtime as required

Satellite Technician/Installer Requirements;

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Six months of Technician and customer service experience preferred
• Must achieve and maintain all technical certifications
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check
• Must be able to pass a DMV records check if driving a company vehicle
• Must be able to pass a drug screen test before employment, any time employee is involved in an injury/accident or any other time during employment
• Required to work both inside and outside of homes, office buildings and warehouse
• Must be able to travel and work in inclement conditions
• Lift and carry loads up to 70 lbs. or more
• Must be able to kneel or crouch for extended periods of time
• Work while standing up 75-90% of the time
• Climb ladders 12 to 40 feet above the ground as determined by system requirements
• Work in crawl spaces and attics
• Drive a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner
• Perform installs and repairs in a safe manner according to our safety plan
• Ability to manipulate objects and use hand or power tools
• Must be able to hear, see and read to effectively perform job functions
• Ability to effectively use power tools, hand tools, and all installation tools

Morgan has been a leader for 20-plus years in the cable, telephone, and satellite business, and brings a thorough understanding of what it takes to make a business successful including managing costs, cultivating happy and skillful employees, and providing top-quality customer service.

Joe is the Director of Human Resources at Up Communications, LLC.

After receiving his BA from Belmont University in Nashville, Joe began his career in the hospitality industry as a District Manager, Franchise Business Consultant, and Director of Personnel and Training. As the President of Dauscha Foods Inc., he opened and operated a multi-unit restaurant franchise in Phoenix, AZ.

Just prior to joining Up Communications, Joe was Vice President of Operations for Shearin Foods, LLC, a multi-unit restaurant franchise in the Nashville, Chattanooga, and Huntsville market areas.

Counts Beans and NIckels

Rhonda is the Corporate Controller for Up Communications, LLC.

Prior to her role with Up Communications, Rhonda worked in the accounting field for 30 years for companies like LSI Marcole, Baxter Enterprises, and Calsonic Yorozu Corporation. Rhonda earned her BA from Southeast Missouri State University and has additional education in Government Contract Accounting as well as Federal Tax.

He brings 20 years of operating experience to the Up Team with an impressive background that ranges from leadership positions with Covad Communications to the United States Marine Corps. He has overseen multiple large-scale network construction and development projects and the radical restructuring of a nation-wide field services workforce.
